Logging activities - example

Features described on this page require the Kentico Xperience Enterprise license.
The following example demonstrates how the system logs activities for anonymous visitors and registered users. You can try out the example on the sample Dancing Goat MVC site.
Visit the live website as an anonymous visitor (without signing in) and perform some actions, for example, view the Home page and search for Colombian coffee.
Sign in to Xperience as an administrator.
Open the Contact management application on the Contacts tab.
- The system has created an anonymous visitor.
Manage () the new anonymous visitor and switch to the Activities tab.
- You can see that the system logged the *Landing**page,Internal search, and Page visit* activities.
Sign out of Xperience and view the live site as an anonymous visitor again.
On the live site, register as a new user, for example, Peter Chelmsford.
View the Home page and search for Colombian coffee again.
Sign in to Xperience as an administrator again.
Open the Contact management application on the Contacts tab.
- The system has renamed the original anonymous visitor according to the entered registration data.
Manage () the contact and switch to the Activities tab.
The system has updated the activity log for the new user.
