Configuring the editor for rich text fields
Important: The ‘Paste from Word’ functionality in CKEditor is no longer supported using the built-in button. The ‘Paste from Word’ functionality is only available using keyboard shortcuts ctrl/cmd + v.
The editor for rich text fields in the Xperience administration interface provides standard word processor features for web content. Users work with the editor when entering content into rich text fields in many parts of the interface, for example rich text fields of pages on the Content tab in the Pages application.
Xperience uses an implementation of the CKEditor web text editor.
This chapter describes how to configure, customize or extend the editor:
- Personalizing the editor for rich text fields
- Installing plugins to the editor for rich text fields
- Styling the editor for rich text fields
- Adding dictionaries to the rich text field editor spelling checker
For basic information about the editor from a user’s point of view, see the Editing content in rich text fields chapter.
Note: The system also provides a rich text editor for use in the page builder, which is a different component and must be configured separately. See Configuring the rich text editor for page builder to learn more.
