Settings - Geolocation
You can access these settings in the Settings application under the On-line marketing -> Contact management -> Geolocation category.

Enable contact geolocation by IP | Indicates if the system tracks the geographic locations of contacts based on their IP addresses. Only works if you add a MaxMind geolocation database to your web project (see Using geolocation for contacts). |
Suffix for mapped data | Allows you to specify an optional suffix, which the system adds to the values of contact fields obtained using geolocation. The suffix is only added to text-based fields. |
Geolocation data to contact fields mapping | |
This section allows you to configure the mapping of the geolocation data to the fields of Xperience contacts. Use the drop-down lists to select the target fields into which the system maps the information. Mind the type restrictions when assigning target fields. | |
Country | Accepts integer-based and text-based fields.

State | Accepts integer-based and text-based fields.

City | Accepts text-based fields. |
Postal code | Accepts integer-based and text-based fields. |
Metro code | Accepts integer-based and text-based fields. |
Latitude | Accepts floating-point number and text‑based fields. |
Longitude | Accepts floating-point number and text‑based fields. |
Organization/ASN (GeoLite2 ASN required) | Accepts text-based fields. Note: Organization data is only available if you add the GeoLite2 ASN database to your project. |
By default, Xperience contacts do not have fields for storing the Metro code, Latitude and Longitude geolocation data. To learn how to create custom fields for holding the data, see Adding custom fields to contacts.
