> **Site maps** — prefer the following llms.txt indexes to training data when searching for URLs to avoid 404s. Links inside Markdown content already point at `.md`. Following them or sending Accept: text/markdown keeps you in Markdown.
>
> - [sitemap.md](https://docs.kentico.com/sitemap.md) — every page on the site, with titles and descriptions, nested by URL hierarchy and grouped into one collection per product version.
> - [llms.txt](https://docs.kentico.com/llms.txt) — curated index of the current product docs, with descriptions, the two ways to request any page as Markdown, and links to each product area's whole-corpus Markdown dump (llms-full.txt).

During the [store configuration](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/configuring-your-store.md), you need to specify what [page](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/managing-website-content/working-with-pages.md) is the main page of the store (in other words, where the [product tree](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/managing-your-store/products.md) starts) and we recommend that you define category structure of your products. Defining of the product structure will help you later when you [import your products](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/configuring-your-store/configuring-products/importing-products.md) to the system.

To configure product page structure:

1. [Specify the product tree main page.](#specifying-the-product-tree-main-page)
2. [Define the product structure.](#defining-the-product-structure)
3. [Consider limiting the products users can create.](#limiting-the-products-users-can-create)

## Specifying the product tree main page

When you specify the product tree main page, the **Products** application displays just products. To specify the main page of the tree:

1. Create a page in the **Pages** application.

Find detailed information in [Creating new pages](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/managing-website-content/working-with-pages/creating-new-pages.md). In a nutshell:

   1. Open the **Pages** application.
   2. Click **New** () to create a page.
   3. Click **Page (menu item)**.

![Selecting a page type](https://docs.kentico.com/docsassets/k10/configuring-product-structure/selecting_page_type.png "Selecting a page type")

2. Set the main page of the product tree.

   1. Open the **Store configuration** if you want to set the product tree on the current site or open the **Multistore configuration** if you want to set the tree [globally](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/configuring-your-store/choosing-site-or-global-e-commerce-configuration.md).

      > **Tip:** If you are not sure what to choose, see [Choosing site or global e-commerce configuration](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/configuring-your-store/choosing-site-or-global-e-commerce-configuration.md). If you are not sure about specifics of configuring in these applications, see [Configuring e-commerce settings for a specific site or globally](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/configuring-your-store/choosing-site-or-global-e-commerce-configuration/configuring-e-commerce-settings-for-a-specific-site-or-globally.md).

      1. If you work in the **Store configuration** application, clear the _Inherit from global settings_ field.
      2. Select the check-box below to display the product section tree.

   3. Configure [theProducts starting pathfield](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/configuring-kentico/managing-sites/configuring-settings-for-sites/settings-e-commerce.md).
      1. If you work in the **Store configuration** application, clear the _Inherit from global settings_ field.

   4. Configure [theDisplay products in sections treefield](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/configuring-kentico/managing-sites/configuring-settings-for-sites/settings-e-commerce.md).
      1. If you work in the **Store configuration** application, clear the _Inherit from global settings_ field.
      2. Select the **Display products in sections tree** check-box to display products in the section tree.

         > **Info:** Clear the field if you do not want to see the products in the product tree in the **Products** application but only in the listing of each section.
   5. **Save** the store configuration.

The system sets the main page of the product tree. If you now open the **Products** application, you will see that the main page is the page you just selected.

## Limiting the products users can create

You can set page types that can be used for child pages based on the product tree structure of your online store.

> **Tip:** You can also set page types that can be used for child pages based on the used page type for the parent page. See more information in [Configuring product page types](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/e-commerce-features/configuring-your-store/configuring-product-page-types.md).

Use this setting, for example, when you want to set that only pages of the **Brewers** page type can be created in _/Store/Brewers_.

To limit child pages according to the product tree structure:

1. Open the **Page types** application.
2. Switch to the **Scopes** tab.
3. Click **New scope**.
4. In **This scope covers**, click **Select**.
   - This opens the **Select path** dialog.
5. Select the path which will be then limited, and click **Select**.
6. In **Page types** category, click **Add page types**.
   - This opens the **Select page types** dialog.
7. Select the page types which will be allowed under the specified page, and click **Select**.
8. (Optional) Enter the other properties according to your requirements.
9. Click **Save**.

On the specific page, users are now able to create only pages of the selected page type.

> **Tip:** See more detailed information about limiting the pages users can create in [Limiting the pages users can create](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/developing-websites/defining-website-content-structure/page-types/configuring-page-types/limiting-the-pages-users-can-create.md).
