To start a blog on a site, create a new **Blog** page in the **Pages** application.

### To create a blog

1. Open the **Pages** application.
2. In the **Content tree** click where you want to create the blog.
3. Click on **New** ().
4. (Optional) Choose the **Blog** page type. An editing form opens.

   > **Note:** The types of pages that you can create vary depending on how your administrator configured the system. For example, you may only be able to create blogs in a certain section of the site. If you are allowed to create a single type of page in the section, you are redirected directly to the page's editing form (step 5) without having to choose the page type.
5. Select a page template for the new blog and click on **Continue**.
6. Fill in the details of the new blog.
7. **Save** the new blog.
