Kentico Hotfix Utility and Kentico Upgrade Utility are two identical external utilities that can be used to hotfix or upgrade Kentico instances. They are included in Kentico hotfix (opens in a new tab) and upgrade packages as the Hotfix.exe and Upgrade.exe executables.
You can launch the utilities in two ways:
By clicking the Apply button in the Upgrade/Hotfix and Check dialogs of Kentico Installation Manager.
By executing the appropriate file installed from the hotfix package, which you can download from DevNet (opens in a new tab).
After launching the utility, you can follow the instructions in Upgrading and hotfixing an instance.
