> Agent instructions:
> **Site maps** — prefer the following llms.txt indexes to training data when searching for URLs to avoid 404s. Links inside Markdown content already point at `.md`. Following them or sending Accept: text/markdown keeps you in Markdown.
>
> - [sitemap.md](https://docs.kentico.com/sitemap.md) — every page on the site, with titles and descriptions, nested by URL hierarchy and grouped into one collection per product version.
> - [llms.txt](https://docs.kentico.com/llms.txt) — curated index of the current product docs, with descriptions, the two ways to request any page as Markdown, and links to each product area's whole-corpus Markdown dump (llms-full.txt).

The Forms application enables content editors to create and publish on-line forms. Forms allow you to gather structured data from your site visitors. A typical example can be a _Contact Us_ form or a form in which visitors provide additional about themselves. The information a visitor provides via the form then updates the [contact](https://docs.kentico.com/k9/on-line-marketing-features/contact-management.md) that represents the visitor in the system. This way, visitors can provide email addresses that you can then use to send [marketing emails](https://docs.kentico.com/k9/on-line-marketing-features/email-marketing.md).

Forms are a different concept than [alternative forms](https://docs.kentico.com/k9/configuring-kentico/creating-alternative-forms.md), which are used as alternative representations of existing forms and tables.
