Setting up content notifications

Notifications allow the system to automatically send out messages informing about certain events. By default, the system can send notifications for the following events:

  • Page created
  • Page updated
  • Page deleted

Kentico comes with a built-in e-mail notification gateway. Your developers can also implement custom gateways, for example SMS or ICQ providers. Note that for one event, users can obtain notification messages from multiple providers.

Notifications have only one setting in Settings -> System.

  • Send e-mail notifications from - sets the e-mail address that will be used as the sender address (the From field) of notification e-mails
