You can configure the default logon credentials used to access the SharePoint server:

1. Open the **Settings** application.
2. Select the **Integration -> Microsoft SharePoint** category.
3. Enter values into the **Username** and **Password** settings.
4. Click **Save.**

The credentials are used by default if you leave the **Username** and **Password** properties blank for the SharePoint web parts.

> **Note:** If you enable the **Use Windows Authentication** setting, the system uses the current user's Windows domain credentials to access the SharePoint server.

> You must specify the address of the respective SharePoint server in the properties of the SharePoint web parts.

> **Warning:** The [GetSharePointFile.aspx page](https://docs.kentico.com/k81/integrating-3rd-party-systems/integrating-sharepoint/sharepoint-integration-obsolete/sharepoint-integration-examples-obsolete.md) automatically uses the credentials from the settings for authentication.

> Users can access the page manually by entering the URL. We therefore recommend that you enter the credentials of a user who is authorized to access only files that you want to display on your website.
