You can place banners on a page in the form of the Banner rotator [widget](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/managing-website-content/adding-page-content-through-widgets.md). The **Banner rotator** widget allows you to configure the _category,_ _width,_ and _height_ of the displayed banners.

> **Info:** Users with the **[Design website](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/managing-users/configuring-permissions/configuring-design-permissions.md)** permission for the **Design** module can place banners on a page's **Design** tab as [web parts](https://docs.kentico.com/k10/on-line-marketing-features/configuring-and-customizing-your-on-line-marketing-features/adding-banners-to-a-page-as-web-parts.md), which provide more configuration options. 

**Note** that you can only add widgets on pages where the website's developers have prepared _editor widget zones_.

## Adding the Banner rotator widget

To add the **Banner rotator** widget to a zone:

1. Open the **Pages** application on the **Page** tab.
2. Select a page in the page tree.
3. Open the zone menu ().
4. Click **Add new widget**.
5. Select the **Banner rotator** widget.
6. Click **Select**.
7. Set the widget's **Banner category**, **Width**, and **Height**.

8. Click **Save & Close**.
9. While still on the **Page** tab, click **Save** to confirm the changes to the page's widget content.
